Summer Camp Coordinator Needed

Posted on Dec 31 2019 - 10:21am

Happy New Year, Troop 162!

We have an urgent need for a parent to step forward and volunteer to coordinate our 2020 Summer Camp program.  Attending Summer Camp is one of the most important activities for our scouts as it expands their outdoor skills and affords them the opportunity to complete many merit badges that our troop does not have the resources to offer. It's also a lot of fun!

Congratulations to Tim Bovaird and Mickey Parrella, Troop 162's 83rd and 84th Eagle Scouts!

Posted on Dec 23 2019 - 9:33pm

We are very pleased to announce that Tim Bovaird and Mickey Parrella earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Monday, December 23, 2019.

Posted on Nov 18 2019 - 9:54pm

Hello Scout Families,

It is that time of year again to re-charter our troop for 2020.  Due to the increase on a national level, scout dues have increased for the coming year.  We will be collecting $150 from each scout for the new year.  Of that, $100 goes directly to Scouts BSA and our local council. $50 will go to supporting Troop 162.  We would like all funds collected by Monday December 2nd.  If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

EWald meeting for Tenderfoot Physical Fitness Requirements

Posted on Oct 30 2019 - 6:13pm

Hi everyone,

This announcement is directed at the Scout/Tenderfoot rank Scouts and families.

In order to rank up, the scout has to do a physical fitness test, consisting of 60 seconds timed push ups and sit ups, a flexibility measurement and a 1 mile walk run.  Then the scout has to present an exercise plan to be approved.  Utilize the plan and log 30 days of exercises and then do a re-test.
